"...it’s always been fascinating to me to observe that two people can sit in the same room and hear the exact same thing, and one have their lives changed by it while the other wished they never heard it!"

I feel the same way. The other equally mysterious experience is the person who responds enthusiastically to that thing you said in your talk, regards it as a major revelation for their lives, and you can't remember saying it, find it in your notes or hear it yourself when you listen back to the recording. :-)

Frank, this was a wonderful expression of what so many of us felt about the conference on Wednesday! While the mix of individuals differed, the Spirit was definitely on the move at George Fox--making connections for so many of us who had not met IRL.

I'm totally with you about MaryKate...and am looking for the time to get into her book.

I spent the entire next day in bed...it was a physically exhausting, but spiritually energizing experience.

I look forward to the rest of what you have to say.

Frank, It was good meeting you at last. Enjoyed your presentation. My copy of "From Eternity to Here" was waiting for me when I got home Wednesday evening. Thanks and looking forward to reading it.

Hi Frank,

I've begun a series of discussions based on this over in the group, Wisdom Lingers. Well ... I guess I really asked a question in the hopes of beginning a series of discussions. We'll see what happens ;-). I hope you'll have the time to jump in there from time to time.

Lots to think about here, Frank. Thanks for this.... I have been pondering greatly, of late, the challenge it is to understand where folks are coming from -- looking out through their eyes -- in order to really understand what they're trying to say. So many times we have such different presuppositions and definitions that we think we know what someone means, when we really don't.

I have been looking forward to having the kinds of discussions here at Missional Tribe that you're referring to -- that whole stop the echo chamber thing!

I'm looking forward to meeting you at George Fox tomorrow....

Blessings
